Elements + - is an exploration of various photo tools and techniques examining ecology within Los Angeles, dead and alive—a two-part collection of analog and digital images. Featuring discarded consumer objects/ home decor, broken pieces of plastics, metals, wood, and glass from vintage chandeliers. The prints were created and developed in a temporary darkroom in Jess’ apartment. The digital images highlight the living. Displaying freshly cut flowers and thriving ecology growing around industrial structures on the UCLA campus.
Elements + - was part of the ALLEGORIES group exhibition held at UCLA’s EDA gallery on December 1st, 2022.
